School

The paper work I needed finally showed up, of course I still missed the start of the FALL I. So I'm going to do the FALL II simester that starts Oct 10th.

They are accelerated classes that end at the same time as the FALL I classes, so I'm not going to take as many classes. At the very least I'll finally be making progress towards my Electrical Engineering Degree :D

Current Projects

Resuming a old cakephp project to develop a forum system. Going with cakephp 2 and HTML5. It should be swell when we are done. Got fairly far along on the origional cakephp 1.2 version of the project. We will of course put it up on GitHub. I'll update and link that when it happens. :D

Doing a lot of fun stuff exploiting the cross platform features of the tclkit/starkit packages. They really rock. Have some neat stuff to do in TK for a project, but it's as normal going to be owned by the people paying for the development of the project. *sighs*

Wrapping up

I'll likely get back to updating this site and it's planned features, for now. Still just writing these updates in html. I miss my CMS features. Oh well, Need to update the app to cakephp2. I'll be a happy camper after I get that done. All ways working on other peoples projects tho. Oh well.

Needs and Goals

Work on the dev server has been going smooth since I gave up trying out Authsome() and stuck with normal ACL. I intend to just adapt a helper I made for the cakephp forum project candybar and I have played with to provide sim functionality to what I was wanting from authsome, namely fetchin user data from anywhere. Simple enough to accomplish. I have revised all my CMS componenets and look to finally be migrated over to 1.3 some time soon. With that update I intend to add a Project request form, where users may request small projects be done on a "work for tips" basis for the projects I accept. It should be an interesting experiment. ^.^

I'm finding just getting enrolled and ready for college to cost a lot more than expected. I have to get transcripts for my G.E.D. scores, as well as my past college time which surprise surprise everyone is charging me for. I'm considering the act.org online training program before I take my ACT to ensure I get the best score possible, which in turn should help with my FASFA application. Not sure if it does or not tho, never hurts to do your best. I also need to get a new TI-83. All of these things cost money sadly. I should change the "buy me a bear" slogan on the donate button to a "Help me go to School" slogan.

All in all, I'm short $140.00 currently. I'll have to bank on some donations or an extra side job or two. ^.^

Yo, Finally got around to migrating the site on the new server, yet again. It's an old story that I'm about tired of. Tho life goes on and servers get old and die. Yay entropy !

Also migrating to cakephp 1.3.6, So everything is broken. I basically just copied the "view" over. Under the hood, it's all blank so nothing works what so ever. I have some needs from other projects for the site, so I'm just doing it over. I'm keeping the sytle tho :p
